Recall check. CPSC recall 25-320 (June 5, 2025, risk of mold exposure) names these Midea U-Shaped models we track: MAW08V1QWT, MAW10V1QWT and MAW12V1QWT. The MAW12U2QWT is not among the model numbers it lists. Check the model number on the unit's own label against the notice.
Every Midea U-Shaped model and its recall statusBoth units are scored on the exact same scale, from the manufacturer's own published specs and the live retailer price where we have one. Room fit uses the official ENERGY STAR sizing chart, or an estimate from cooling power when a maker publishes no coverage. Where the two efficiency scales are not comparable, we never crown a winner. Nobody can pay for placement.
