Friedrich builds Chill Premier in three forms: CCF models on a fixed chassis for windows only, CCW (cooling) and CEW (electric heat) models on a slide-out chassis for a window or a wall sleeve, and Chill Premier Inverter (CCV) models with a variable-speed compressor. Friedrich says the 8,000 to 12,000 BTU inverter models are for windows only.

Every Friedrich Chill Premier modelBoth units are scored on the exact same scale, from the manufacturer's own published specs and the live retailer price where we have one. Room fit uses the official ENERGY STAR sizing chart, or an estimate from cooling power when a maker publishes no coverage. Where the two efficiency scales are not comparable, we never crown a winner. Nobody can pay for placement.
