Sizing this system
This is a whole-home system: its rated cooling is shared across several indoor units or distributed through ductwork, so there is no single room it does or does not fit. An installer sizes each zone against that room (a Manual J calculation), which is why we do not print a room verdict here.
Mini-splits are rated on SEER2, a seasonal scale, not the ENERGY STAR annual-kWh figure this dollar estimate is built from, so there is no comparable figure to show here. A blank is missing data, not a worse result: a mini-split is often the more efficient choice.
Installation cost
$5,000-15,000 fully installed depending on the number of zones (roughly $3,000-8,000+ for the multi-zone install on top of the equipment). A 2-room (2x1) setup sits near the lower end, a 4-5 room whole-home system near the top. The unit price you see here is hardware only; installation is the larger, separate cost.
A typical range for this system type, for comparison only, not a quote for this unit. The actual price depends on the line-set run, electrical work and access.
At a glance
Best for cooling several rooms from one outdoor unit.
EER2, SEER2, warranty, heating capacity, refrigerant, heating limit and outdoor unit size are from Sylvane's published specifications for this exact configuration, checked Sep 28, 2026.
This is a multi-split. The same EPA Section 608 certified-technician requirement as a single split, applied across a bigger system. Because it touches multiple rooms and routes line sets through the structure, it more often triggers a full permit set (mechanical, electrical and sometimes building), HOA architectural approval, and written landlord consent. Local noise limits at the property line apply to the outdoor unit just as for a single split, though one shared condenser is usually easier to get approved than several separate ones.
