What size room does the Friedrich 9,600 BTU ZoneAire Select PTAC w/ Heat Pump - 265V cool?

It is rated to cool a room up to 450 sq ft (9,600 BTU · 2.8 kW).

Do I need a professional to install the Friedrich 9,600 BTU ZoneAire Select PTAC w/ Heat Pump - 265V?

Usually, yes. A PTAC installs in a wall sleeve with an outdoor grille and runs on its own dedicated circuit, so a new installation (the wall opening, sleeve, grille and wiring) is work for a contractor and an electrician. Swapping one into an existing PTAC sleeve with matching power is a simpler like-for-like replacement. It runs on 265 volts, a commercial-building supply, so it needs a matching 265-volt connection (a sub-base receptacle or a hard-wired circuit).

Does the Friedrich 9,600 BTU ZoneAire Select PTAC w/ Heat Pump - 265V heat as well as cool?

Installation & the rules that apply

This is a packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC). It sits in a wall sleeve with an outdoor grille and runs on its own circuit, so the window-unit mounting and bracket rules do not apply to it. A new opening or circuit usually needs building and electrical permits and, in a condo, co-op or historic building, approval first.
